Technology and the Techies

Taking a concept and turning it into a functional and pleasing website takes both technology and talent.

Our business need was to have almost "instant" ability to change any content on our website.

Of course, our people are not programmers so it is critical that we are able to make changes to the website without needing to use specialist programmers or other technical web professionals.

This led to us choosing a modern Content Management System (CMS). We chose:

Silverstripe

We chose Silverstripe because it was Open Source - which keeps the costs down and enables us to access a wordwide pool of talent to work on it. And, of course, it is made in New Zealand.

Having chosen the tecnology, it was then a question of choosing the talent, and we decided to use the opportunity to build our own internal capacity. This capacity is located in Ahmedabad, India and trades as:

Anil, Aslam and the team at Multidots have done a great job and through the journey we have transferred some of the Kiwi process and methodology capability to our technical team up there. The result a product that is greater than the sum of two.

Anil and Aslam are both certified open source ICT professionals and Anil is a bit of blogger as well!

We believe that combining Kiwi innovative thinking, robust process, methodology and Silverstripe with sheer Indian technical talent is a very powerful and economical combination for developing ICT systems (websites and more).

A combination such as this, can bring content managed websites to business quickly and give the power of business content publishing to the business people directly - enabling them to dramatically reduce time-to-market and costs.
