



Crazy Catch got to know India Horizonz as they attended the NZTE Export to India workshop run by us in 2008.
Owners Andrew and Louise both were attendees and they explored their global plans including India of course - It is cricket after all.
They had explored India including exchanging a "few emails" with a "few parties" who were keen to get Crazy Catch going on India. We took time to understand their business and actually advised them to postpone their India activities for a while, given their focus on getting their manufacturing capacity shipshape.
Sometime later, when Andrew and Louise were ready, they commissioned us to vet a couple of potential partners. This is what Andrew Sinclair had to say at the end.
"India Horizonz understood our business strategy very quickly and provided good advice in relation to not just India but our other market plans. In relation to India, their advice to delay the entry was spot on and we appreciated the honestly and straight talk. We were quite amazed that sitting right here in New Zealand, they were able to eliminate one of the candidates using their network and insight and what they term a "Lemon Check" - we understood the results but the ways were so Indian culturally - a pleasent learning for us.
For less than the cost of a round trip for us, India Horizonz met with the owner of out candidate partner in India and gave us a comprehensive report which gave us the confidence to move forward.
Once we were ready to go, we commissioned them to vet our potential partners in respect of their infrastructure and capability in relation to distribution of Crazy Catch in India. This included testing their past experience with launching a 'new' product i.e. their ability to fathom and project Crazy Catch as a "new product/concept" rather than yet another rebound net.
We also wanted to know the partners view of the price point that the Indian market will bear for the various Crazy Catch models - both at the individual-consumer (retail) and bulk-institutional (wholesale). Finally we wanted to be clear about the partners ability to meet Crazy Catch standard payment terms and typical minimum initial order volumes.
We also wanted to get an early view of manufacturing in India versus import from China - as a supply option for the Indian market.
India Horizonz did the work and gave us a comprehensive report based on their direct contact as well as using their insight and networks in India. Based on their work we moved on India and are there. In fact we have made a sale - within less than 12 months of completing the vetting by India Horizonz.
India Horizonz understood our needs quickly, were accurate, did the job to our satisfaction and very cost effectively. Thanks to their help even Rahul Dravid uses our product.
